Another rainy day hangs over us / our hoods are veterans / no need to fear anything that comes from the outside / Just keep your balance / and place your next step forward / and clench your fists against it all / Can you see it too? / These promises were never real / we just misread all these signs / So now what do you expect? / Will you give in and close your eyes / to take another slap / or pack your bags / and follow your next track? / To take this life with no regrets is a privilege for most / try to be the one who draws the line / no matter what the cost / Stand up straight on your / track no matter what / keep in mind what you're up to since when you're born / Don't be scared at all / bring your burden on / and keep trying to hold on / I'll keep trying to hold on / I see these shadows closing in on me / I got no fear / it was about time / A stronger will and a hardest shell / the heritage that you've left upon me / Just breath kid / bite the bullet / still believe / To take this life with no regrets is the hardest task you'll get / Focus on today / and build your future / learning from your past.
2.
I've seen winds of protest / I've heard cries of complaint / while the rest of the world / drugged and bored / watches prostrate in submission / Against all the odds we've witnessed / from Morocco to Egypt to Iran / thousands of people chins up to the sun / against their oppression / While the "Souths of the world" step by step raise their heads to the wolves / we still obnoxiously deny our mental manacles / Our constitution sacrificed to the Holy See / humiliated by separatists on TV / violated by neofascists publicly / I've seen the decay of our liberty / But we still got hope / one by one these chains have to fall / from now on it's our call / Please stay focused on what matters / leave the rest outside / think about what's better / and get involved / for this is our present.
3.
Days Went By 02:19
Days went by and we / ignorant of life / let them pass / couldn't care less / Behind every corner / the threat of separation haunting / it just wasn't our concern / Until the day the fading left no respite / Stories pile up in my head / blurring outlines of regret / never got to understand / how this could end / Letting blame lie aside / can't say if the fault is yours or mine / Thankful for the best times / that we spent / Best things just end / Nights I've spent alone / building up this quiet that has arisen past the storm / Days go by and we / now used to these lies / let them pass / as if they never affect us / Behind every page we turn / the feeling that something has been lost / when we will ever learn / to not let the important things go.
4.
On the edge of wrecking day / demolition derby engaged / against our land / against those men / that took us this far / Look at us / we are so fragile / yet we have so arrogant hearts / but we're not here to stay / There will come someone / much better than this / from an outer space / another race will resolve the death we bring / With a conscience nearly asleep / misconceptions on our needs / perfectly matching our means / in a deadly machine / Not a break / taking as much as we can / is the wrong way / but we're not here to stay / There will come someone / much stronger than this / with a wider grace / another race will resolve this mess we're in / And when we'll reach the point of non-return / there won't be tears enough for us to cry / to make anything grow back on this earth again / our loss of sense / our constant claim to have everything right away / is not consistent to our supposed right to stay / and when we'll have our worst case scenario kicked straight up on our teeth / we will surely curse at anyone but us just to feel better beings / and when we'll meet our fate by the hand of something else in the end / we'll maybe learn what we've done to this place / and that we're just little men.

about

“These chances we take” has been written in the occasion of our first Japan tour, probably our biggest achievement so far. It features an overall atmosphere of uncertainty and doubt, due to our natural process of growing up and development; going through hazards and difficult choices is uncomfortable, but it surely helps a lot. The message we address to ourselves and to everyone else is that we have to take our chances, whatever the contingencies may be, and try to push always further to not cancel who we are and what we do - “Never mistake motion for action” (E. Hemingway).
